Our Programmes
From feeding children to empowering women through vocational training, every Hofai programme is designed to break cycles of poverty with love, dignity, and lasting transformation.
Core Programmes
Three Ways We Transform Lives
Everything Hofai does flows from three core programmes — each addressing a different dimension of poverty and bringing restoration to the whole person.
Nourish in Love
Feeding children so they can learn, grow, and thrive — every single day.
29% of Ugandan children under five are stunted. For children on the islands, this is even worse. With less than $1 a day, Hofai provides balanced meals that give children the physical strength to focus on school and break the hunger-dropout cycle. We also run a poultry project producing eggs and protein for daily meals.
Learn About Nourishment
Educate in Love
Paying school fees, funding uniforms, and nurturing every God-given talent.
Uganda has the highest school dropout rate in East Africa — 59%. Only 25 out of 100 children who start Primary One reach Primary Seven. Hofai pays school fees, provides uniforms and books, and runs the Hofai Soccer Academy and Hofai Dancers to develop talents beyond the classroom. We currently support 25 orphan children fully and at least 60 children for education.

Sew in Love
Empowering women with tailoring skills, independence, and dignity.
80% of Uganda's small-scale farming is done by women who cannot own the land they farm. 30% of Ugandan women are now single mothers. Sew in Love teaches professional tailoring to school dropouts and solo mothers — giving them a portable trade that creates income, funds their children's education, and turns poverty into a legacy of provision.

Island Mission
Reaching the Forgotten Islands
Hofai Ministries is one of the very few organisations consistently crossing the water to reach the remote islands of Lake Victoria. Most islands have no latrines, no healthcare, and no safe drinking water.
40% of children in Lake Victoria fishing communities are stunted. Yet the fishing industry exports to Europe and Asia while island children go hungry. We build latrines, improve housing, filter water, and bring the Gospel — because these communities are not forgotten by God.
We work across multiple island districts including Kalangala (Ssese Islands), Buvuma, Mukono, Wakiso, Masaka, and Rakai.

Hofai Soccer Academy & Dancers
We believe every Hofai child has a God-given gift. Sport and the arts are not extras — they build discipline, confidence, and a vision for the future. Watch our Hofai Dancers below.
Hofai Soccer Academy
Football builds teamwork, discipline, and health — and opens doors beyond the island for gifted young athletes. Children who play must attend school. Sport becomes the motivation that keeps them engaged with education. We are raising funds for proper footballs, boots, and training kits.
Meet the FootballersHofai Dancers & Musicians
Dance and music heal trauma, build confidence, and preserve Ugandan cultural identity. Learning choreography builds memory, focus, and discipline that transfers directly into classroom performance. We are raising funds for professional musical instruments.

For less than the price of a cup of coffee, you can feed a child in Uganda for a day. Watch how Hofai makes every dollar count.
Sustainability
From Dependency to Dignity
Our mission is not to create dependency — it is to build self-sufficiency. These sustainability programmes train communities to provide for themselves.
Sew in Love — Tailoring
Women learn to design and sew market-ready garments. Graduates start businesses, sew uniforms for Hofai children, and reinvest income into their families — a self-sustaining economic cycle.
Poultry Rearing
Small-scale poultry provides eggs and protein for children's daily meals and serves as a living classroom where youth learn modern farming and business skills.
Mechanical Workshop — Vision
We previously ran a vocational mechanical training workshop for young men. We are planning to reopen this as a full vocational centre — equipping youth to repair engines and machinery for Lake Victoria's fishing communities.
Every Programme Needs Your Support
Whether you give to feed a child, educate a student, empower a woman, or support the island mission — your gift goes directly to people who need it most.
